Our Experience
Between 2000 and 2020, we have conducted appraisals of more than:
- 1,100 independent and/or assisted living retirement residences
- 575 long term care facilities
- 340 mixed care facilities and/or campuses of care
They include: existing and proposed facilities; specialized operations such as acquired brain injury facilities, hospice units, convalescent care units and mental health facilities; private-pay and funded or subsidized operations; union, non-union, in-house and contracted staffing models; for-profit and non-profit operators; and stand-alone and campus models. The licensed care facilities or components have involved both traditional and ‘pod’ designs. These facilities have ranged in size from a few suites to several hundred, and have included portfolios. Most are rental in nature; some projects are strata-titled and a few involve life-lease ownership.
